First Visit Frequently Asked Questions
Walking into a new gym can feel intimidating. Knowing what to expect can help.
At Body Blast Fitness Studio, you aren’t expected to arrive knowing the exercises or feeling confident with weights.
Most women who join us start with no exercise experience at all.
We’re here to teach you, answer your questions, and help you feel comfortable. You are not alone.

Do I Need Experience?
No! You come to the gym to learn and get stronger. Our trainers guide you through the class, explain the exercises, and help with proper form.
You don’t need to get in shape before joining us.
Which Class Should I Try First?
These classes are great starting options for beginners:
• Simply Stronger
• Butt and Gutt
• Arms and Abs
• Upper Body Blast
• Strength, Stability, and Stretch
• Pilates Sculpt
• Pilates Strength

How Do I Sign Up?
Download our free app available on Google and Apple, create an account, choose your new client trial package and reserve your class
Classes require advance registration. Purchasing a package does not automatically reserve your spot in a class.
If you sign up for a class and cannot make the class, please cancel your preregistration at least 60 minutes prior to class starting.
What Should I Wear and Bring?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and supportive sneakers. Bring water and a small towel if you’d like. We sell bottled water for $1.00
If you prefer to bring your own mat, feel free. We have mats and a cleaning station as well as mat towels for rent $3.00
How Early Should I Arrive?
Please arrive several minutes before class begins.
Let your trainer know it’s your first visit so she can welcome you, explain what to expect, and help you get settled.
Arriving early is especially helpful for circuit classes, where you’ll want time to learn the stations before the workout starts.
What If I Don’t Know What to Do?
That’s exactly why we’re here.
Ask questions whenever you need help. In trainer led classes, your trainer explains the movements and guides you through the workout.
Circuit classes involve more independent work between stations, so we generally recommend another class for your very first visit if you’re brand new to exercise.
Do I Have to Keep Up With Everyone Else?
No. There is no competition here.
You choose your weights, work at your own pace, and take breaks when you need them. Your workout should reflect your starting point and goals.
What If I Have an Injury or a Movement Is Difficult for Me?
Tell your trainer before class about any limitations, pain, or injuries you’re recovering from, along with any exercise restrictions you’ve been given.
She can help you explore suitable variations and options. If a movement hurts or feels unclear during class, stop and ask for help.
Do Classes Include Getting Down on the Floor?
Some do, and class formats vary.
If getting down to or up from the floor is difficult, contact us before booking. We’ll help you choose a class and discuss available options.
Is Body Blast a Women’s Gym?
Yes. Body Blast Fitness Studio is a women-only fitness studio with supportive female trainers.
Our focus is functional fitness: building strength, balance, mobility, and stamina to help you feel stronger in everyday life.
Can I Come by Myself?
Absolutely. You don’t need to bring a friend to belong here.
Let your trainer know you’re new. We’ll help you get comfortable and find your place in the class.
What If I Need to Cancel a Class?
Please cancel your reservation through the app at least 60 minutes before class starts.
Canceling promptly gives someone on the waitlist a chance to take your spot.
Will My Trial Automatically Become a Membership?
There is no obligation to join after your trial. If you’d like to continue, we’ll help you choose a membership or another option that fits your schedule.
